Sift dry ingredients together; cut in shortening until its coarse crumbs.
Add milk all at once.
Stir with fork until dough follows fork around bowl.
Turn out onto lightly floured surface.
Knead 10 to 12 strokes.
Roll or pat dough 1/2 inch thick.
Dip 2-1/2 inch biscuit cutter into flour.
Cut dough into biscuits.
Bake on un-greased baking sheet at 450 degrees, about 12 minutes.
Makes 10 biscuites
