Davy Delights

Ingredients

• 6 tbsp shortening
• 1 egg, beaten
• 1/4 cup milk
• 1 3/4 cups flour
• 1/3 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp ground cloves
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup molasses
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 3/4 tsp cinnamon
• 1 cup raisins

Steps

1. Cream shortening, eggs, and molasses.
2. Mix well.
3. Sift all of the dry ingredients together and add to shortening mixture alternately with milk mixing well after each addition.
4. Add raisins and mix thoroughly.
5. Drop teaspoonfuls on greased cooking sheet.
6. Bake at 350 degrees about 11 minutes.
